Wireless Advocates is seeking a Vice President of Sales to join the team!

Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Wireless Advocates is a third-party provider of wireless products and services both online and in more than 600 retail locations nationwide. Together with Fortune 100 channel partners and wireless carriers (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T & T-Mobile) , our knowledgeable teams of on-site wireless professionals deliver high-value products and services, helping consumers connect and communicate every day. Wireless Advocates operates retail kiosks and online sales activities for our retail partners: Costco Wholesale, Army & Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES), Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), and Navy Exchange (NEX).


The Vice President of Sales, reporting to the President, is responsible for sales strategy, sales standards and methodology, establishment of key performance indicators, recognition, and overall consistency across retail channels. Responsible, along with the other members of the Senior Management Team, for delivering the quarterly and annual earning and related profitability goals.  The Vice-President of Sales is responsible for delivering the budgets, goals and customer experience requirements of the sales organization; and this will be achieved in close collaboration with Retail Channel Management. Successful activities will be measured in EBITDA, sales and margin, employee retention, and quality of sale metrics.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Sales Strategy

  • Responsible for leading the development of our overall Sales Strategy including the implementation within each retail channel.
  • As the internal owner of GUESTS, our company sales methodology, this position is responsible for continuing to improve this framework; brand GUESTS as an integral component of our consultative sales program, and develop programs to ensure company-wide consistency.

Cross-Channel Sales Coordination And Management

  • Collaborate and guide a team of General Managers to actively ensure sales programs are well executed and measured.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement across the sales channels as well as development of programs to ensure company-wide consistency.
  • Conduct periodic assessments to ensure sales programs are in place and working effectively.
  • Develop, assist, and measure all sales initiatives and sales presentation standards with channel teams.
  • Responsible for working cross functionally to implement new products and services effectively within each channel.
  • As a store within a store retailer, in coordination with channel leadership and sales force, responsible for the successful assimilation of our retail team within a host retail environment, and ensuring compliance with all workplace expectations, policies and procedures

Functional Excellence

  • Responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing management of retail-specific sales processes and activities.
  • Responsible for the timely and quality execution of all field training programs and training initiatives.
  • Responsible for the establishment of performance expectations, coaching to desired behaviors with the goals of achieving consistent results.
  • Lead recognition of sales achievement through formal quarterly and annual events as well as through ongoing spot/ad-hoc recognition efforts.

Talent Management

  • In coordination with channel leadership, take a leadership position in the recruitment of sales personnel within each retail channel.
  • Work  directly, in partnership with channel teams, on the development of retail sales managers.
  • In coordination with HR and channel leadership designs rewards and incentives programs for select sales talent.
  • Manage and develop the leadership talent at all levels of the organization.



As a member of the Wireless Advocates Senior Management Team, this position is responsible for participating in the strategic direction of the company and the overall achievement of its goals.


This position has authority, responsibility and accountability for the following areas:

  • Budgets (to include Profit & Loss, CAPEX, Balance Sheet)
  • Business Plans; Key Metrics
  • Policy & Procedure; may be responsible for  executing contracts on behalf of the company
  • Strategic Direction

The Vice President of Sales is responsible for sales strategy, sales standards and methodology, establishment of measurements and recognition, and consistency across retail channels.


The Vice President of Sales is also responsible for working with senior leadership to improve processes, benchmarks, and overall efficiency throughout the company.



Working Relationships:

This person must have excellent working relationships with as many employees as possible and especially the Senior Management Team and the Channel Management organization.  Responsible for developing and maintaining key partner relationships.



  • A minimum of five years of Executive Level experience in multi-store retail management, preferably in consumer electronics.
  • A college degree in business is strongly desired.
  • Must have extensive leadership, communication and management skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operation level.
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results drive, team oriented environment.

  • Strategic Perspective - Takes a proactive, broad-based, long-term perspective on the business; integrates planning efforts across work units and functions. Supports results/decisions through data-driven measures/processes.
