Wireless Advocates operates retail kiosks and online sales activities for our retail partners: Costco Wholesale, Army & Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES), Marine Corps Exchange (MCX), and Navy Exchange (NEX).

Responsibilities

Core Functions:

 

As the Planner you will be responsible for the day to day management of manufacture and carrier products and services offered and sold through Wireless Advocates’ “Host Partner” locations and ecommerce sites nationwide. The Planner’s responsibilities include planning, forecasting, merchandising and strategy.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

•Be able to forecast both inventory demand metrics and product financials for the assigned categories on a continuous basis.


-Forecast all metrics at the sku level, and then roll up the information to category level summaries based on the report out audience’s needs.
-Understand and manage complicated financial models based on multiple contracts and components that can change daily based on trends and other market factors.
-Efficiently update inventory demand and product financial forecasts in a timely manner based on the weekly update cadence and any relevant business changes throughout the week.

 

•Analyze the business to find ways of increasing sales and inventory efficiency.


-Run analysis on inventory and financial performance down to the store and/or sku level, then effectively communicate that information and suggested strategies for implementing changes to correct issue and/or improve category performance.
-Track performance of the changes to determine if the actual results varied from the forecasted change in the business and determine if corrective action is still necessary for the business.

 

•Support the Senior Planner and the planning team’s responsibilities for both internal and external partner deliverables.


-Effectively manage both scheduled and as needed projects and report outs assigned by the team.
-Represent the team as an effective business owner when participating in meetings and discussions with cross functional teams.
-Work closely with supply chain partners to make sure the inventory plan is being executed effectively.
-Work closely with the channel operations partners to make sure the merchandising plan is being executed effectively.
-Act with integrity and honesty when dealing with both internal and external business partners.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

 

• 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced retail corporate environment.
• 3+ years of planning/buying experience.
• College degree preferred.
• Advanced Excel knowledge and functional experience.
• Read, speak, write and understand the English language at a business level.
